PARDO's model exponentially focuses on increasing efficiency and impact when it comes to relief and development services that assist vulnerable individuals, families and communities. In addition to providing relief, we also uplift thousands of families through food security and livelihood, water and sanitation, hygiene activities, women empowerment and child protection programs, education services, agricultural reform, vocational training, climate change, advocacy for human rights, peace building and much more.

Health
At PARDO, we are committed to improving the health and well-being of communities where we work. Through our targeted interventions, we strive to address critical health challenges and provide access to essential healthcare services for those in need.
PARDO, recognize the importance of quality healthcare as a fundamental right. That’s why we bring medical services directly to the doorsteps of underserved individuals who cannot reach traditional healthcare facilities. We organize Mobile Clinics and Primary Healthcare programs, providing vital health education to remote areas.
Using Community Health Workers and trained Health Personnel, we bridge the gap and ensure that marginalized individuals receive the care they deserve. Our interventions encompass a range of services including preventive education, screenings, and vital health education, care, treatment, and support. When specialized care is required, we seamlessly facilitate referrals to appropriate facilities.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH):
Access to safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices is critical for preventing the spread of diseases and maintaining good health. PARDO implements WASH interventions to ensure communities have clean water sources, functional sanitation facilities, and education on proper hygiene practices. By addressing water-related challenges, we strive to reduce waterborne diseases, improve hygiene standards, and enhance the overall health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Gender-Based Violence:
PARDO delivers services to survivors of gender-based violence through women and girls’ safe spaces, which provide a safe support network, as well as psycho-social services in addition to women empowerment activities through vocational training. Moreover, PARDO provides case management fund to survivors and at-risk cases within individual protection assistant service and cash support for special cases.

Child and General Protection:
PARDO through its child friendly spaces and teams provides children in need with improved access to quality protection resources. These spaces provide structured recreational and psycho-social support activities, as well as case management services to affected boys and girls. Our team also manages mobile units to provide recreational psycho-social support activities to children who cannot access these services. These units generally administer services in local schools, churches, community centers, and IDPs camps.
PARDO started its General Protection services during the start of the crises in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon by providing protection emergency response package during displacements. General Project services also include integrated community centers to provide prevention and response activities for men, women, boys, and girls, along with protection legal services including awareness raising, and legal counseling on both Civil Status Documentations.

EDUCATION
PARDO, through its education program, spares no effort to build a sustainable future of vulnerable children through providing services that focus on enhancing education quality. Through the education pillar we assist in mobilizing resources to build classrooms and libraries, rehabilitate and renovate schools; provide scholarship to students and incentives to teachers in the rural areas , and distribute learning and teaching materials. We also provide psycho-social support; awareness sessions for children, such as maintaining personal hygiene, and vocational training orientations in traditional school spaces to provide youths with professional skills and to enable them to enter the job market.
Peace Building and Conflict Resolution.
Peace is vital and is one aspect of life that is require the most. Our work focuses on training of Youth Support Groups on peace building and conflict resolution, facilitate community reconciliation and peace meetings, community and religious dialogues and consensus building on traditional justice systems, development and implementation of peace, action plans, and dissemination of Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials to provide acceptance and reintegration.
Climate Change
Everyone has the right to a just and sustainable environment in which they can thrive. But, every day, poverty is made worse by the devastating impacts of climate change. PARDO's interventions under this programme include, promoting innovation and technology transfer for sustainable energy breakthroughs, mainstreaming mitigation concerns into sustainable development strategies through the continuous support of enabling conditions in poor and vulnerable communities and using education and sensitization as tools for empowerment and empowering educators to serve as critical messengers of climate and literacy as part of the solution to climate change.
